new work

"Cottonwood" is my first
personally created glaze.
"Cottonwood" earned it's
name for producing colors
that resemble the leaves of
the cottonwood trees that line
the Cimarron River that runs
just north of my studio.

"Cottonwood" can range from
a bright butter yellow matte
with iridescent silver-blue
streaks to a vari
egated
robin's egg blue, to a glossy
mint with pearl colored
crystals in it.

The turquoise pieces are
glazed with a variation of
Pete Pinnell's Bronze glaze.
Producing a full bodied
turquoise with a background
ranging from soft tan to a
strong grey.
