robin wolf pottery kingfisher
All work is fired at Cone 6 (2269*f), a slightly cooler temperature than standard Cone 10 (2381*f) work. The cooler temperature allows me to produce a wider range of colors, save money through using less fuel to fire either my gas or electic kilns, and creates a smaller carbon footprint.
All of my work is food safe, functional, and meant to be used!
My turquoise glaze(above) is a variation of Pete Pinnell's Bronze glaze, producing a full bodied turquoise with a background ranging from soft tan to a strong grey.
Cottonwood (right) is my first personally created glaze. This glaze earned it's name for producing colors that resemble the leaves of the cottonwood trees that line the Cimarron River that runs just north of my studio.
Cottonwood can range from a bright butter yellow matte with iridescent silver-blue streaks to a variegated robin's egg blue, to a glossy mint with pearl colored crystals in it.
Due to the hectic show schedule that I am currently meeting, I only have a few pieces photographed and displayed on my website. Please check my show schedule, then come visit with me and see the latest work that I have available.
